A page is called static when the content is fixed and when we create a website of static web pages it is called as a Static website.A static page might include all unmovable contents in a website. The main factor driving static websites are that it is less expensive, pages are individualized and easier for a good listing. A static website is the ideal answer to all companies who need to convey information through a site and obtain a window of components, products and services. Some technical aspects of a static website can be best demonstrated as below:
A website that is static can only supply information that is written into the html code and this will not change unless any alteration is made in the source code. When a web browser requests for a specific static web page, the server returns the page to the browser and the user only gets whatever information is contained in the HTML code. In practice, this results in the delivery of the interface, images and text as one item. In contrast, a dynamic web page contains content that a user can interact with, such as information that is tied to a database, therefore the interface and structure of the site can be manipulated independently.
Merits of a static website:
- Generally cheaper to implement on a smaller scale if fewer pages are required.
- Good for smaller companies as there is no need for any management system; it is the responsibility of one person.
- More Flexibility is available, as you are not restricted to any template layout (although this can affect the usability of your website).
